4th Dose Covid19 Vaccine Update

NIAC has made recommendation last night, 05/04/2022, that everyone aged 65 and over should now get a 4th dose of Covid19 Vaccine. This recommendation has been welcomed by Stephen Donnelly but has yet to be officially approved and rolled out by the HSE. We will be offering the 4th dose vaccine to anyone eligible by age as soon as we receive official confirmation and guideline from the HSE. For now we are keeping a waiting list of those looking to get this vaccine from us; please contact us by email if you would like us to add you to this list – info@imokillymedical.ie

Please contact us by email only to get on our waiting list, we will not be taking details by phone.

At the moment it looks like the 4th vaccine will be given 4months after the 3rd dose as long as the patient has not had Covid 19 within 3months. This information is subject to change but we will inform all patients of eligibility criteria prior to booking. NIAC have also mentioned additional doses for children, but the guidelines here are less clear so we will wait for official HSE advice before proceeding with taking appointments from those outside of the over65 group. We ask that if you are looking for further information you contact us by email, or through our website here. This is to try to keep our phone lines free for our patients to make appointments or with any urgent medical queries.

Additional information will also be available directly from the HSE.
