Covid-19

*If you are showing Covid19 symptoms (cough, head cold, sore throat, aches and pains, diarrhoea etc) please do NOT attend the Practice. Begin to self isolate and take an antigen test, based on your test result we can then advise you further*

At present Imokilly Medical is open and seeing patients. However, due to ongoing high Covid19 case numbers, we ask you to please note the following:

  • Face masks that cover the nose and mouth are still required in the Practice.
  • The Practice is operating by appointment only. Please do not attend without first speaking to a member of the team, please do not attend the Practice unnecessarily
  • We may ask you to take an antigen test prior to attending the Practice, this is to protect staff as well as other patients that may be sharing the waiting room with you.

Covid 19 Booster Vaccines

A 4th or 5th dose of Covid19 Vaccine has now been recommended by NIAC and approved by the HSE. Booster vaccines will be subject to HSE guidelines and eligibility criteria, we will not be able to make any exception to guidelines issued by the HSE regardless of personal circumstances. At present we are continuing to run smaller booster clinics weekly.

To book a booster please click here.

Covid 19 1st and 2nd Dose Vaccinations

We are no longer in a position to offer 1st and 2nd Dose Vaccines. If you have not yet had any vaccination against Covid 19 and wish to do so now, please contact the HSE. 1st and 2nd dose vaccines are still available through the HSE mass vaccine centres.

GP surgeries will not be vaccinating patients aged 5-11, this is as per HSE recommendations and unfortunately we cannot make exceptions to this.

Covid 19 Testing

Any patient displaying Covid 19 symptoms should begin to self-isolate and take an antigen test. The same applies to children showing Covid 19 symptoms, do not bring your child to the Practice but please do give them an antigen test and contact us by phone or email.

If you have had a positive antigen test, this should be reported to the HSE online. The HSE will then contact you to advise the next steps and arrange a PCR test if deemed necessary. You should begin to self isolate immediately following a positive test – antigen or PCR.

As guidelines are changing often this website may not be fully up to date. Please contact the HSE on 1800 700 700 for up to date guidelines and advise regarding Covid19 testing and isolation.
