As you may be aware, we had made a decision at the height of the Pandemic to limit some of our routine check-up appointments for the safety of both staff and patients. This included pausing our Wellman and Wellwoman service as these appointments run up to 30mins long and are offered as non-urgent check ups.
The Wellman and Wellwoman service is the most comprehensive check up on offer and include routine bloods, height, weight, urine dip, blood pressure, ECG and prostate/breast exam as appropriate. Results from all exams are generally available 7days after the appointment and any necessary follow up will also be arranged.
Wellman and Wellwoman appointments are now available again at Imokilly Medical Centre
We are happy to now resume Wellman and Wellwoman services at Imokilly Medical Centre, subject to Covid19 restriction updates. Both appointments are available at the 9am slot only and patients are asked to attend the surgery fasting so your Doctor can take relevant bloods. Due to the time taken by each appointment we do only offer one slot per day per GP. It may take up to one week or more to accommodate these appointment requests but we will do our best to fit in appointments in a timely manner. If you have any urgent concerns we would suggest attending for a standard GP appointment and using these check ups as routine only.

Please be advised that Wellman and Wellwoman appointments are only available to patients that are registered with us already. There is a €100 charge for these appointments and they are not covered by Medical Cards
