Flu Vaccines for those aged 18 and upwards are available to book now at Imokilly Medical Centre. Eligible patients can access our booking system by clicking here. Vaccine clinics will begin on Tuesday September 27th and will be by appointment only. We will add more clinics as more vaccines become available so if the 27th does not suit we would ask you to monitor through the link for the next available date.
The nasal spray vaccines for children aged 2-17 will become available at a slightly later date and a separate children’s’ clinic will run in October with a date to be confirmed. Parents of children registered at our Practice will receive a WebSMS when vaccines are available to book. We would ask non-registered parents to monitor the booking link for the children’s clinic to open.
Eligibility Criteria for the Flu Vaccine is as per the HSE
Adult flu vaccines are available to anyone aged 65 and over, all healthcare workers and all pregnant women. Flu vaccines are available to carers, people in contact with pigs, poultry or waterfowl and to those living in nursing homes or long term care facilities. Flu vaccines are also available from the HSE for people with medical conditions as specified on their website. We would advise all patients to review this list to ensure eligibility before booking. Nasal spray children’s vaccines will be available to all children aged 2-17.
All flu vaccines for patients as listed above are provided free of charge from the HSE. We are not offering private flu vaccines.
