While we welcome another step towards normality, we have made the decision to continue with mandatory mask wearing in all shared areas of the Practice. This includes our reception foyer, waiting room and consultation rooms. We feel strongly that this is in the best interest of our staff as well as our patients that may be more vulnerable.
We will review our mask wearing policy as case numbers decrease.
Patients who are more comfortable to wear their masks in the Practice will be welcome to do so even if our policy changes. We will review our stance on masks as the case numbers and hospitalisation from covid19 decreases. Dr Thompson feels that the benefit to vulnerable patients far outweighs the minor inconvenience of wearing a mask for the short time that you are in the Practice. If you have any concerns about the above you are welcome to contact our reception team.
